Bluewaters
Home to Ain Dubai, the world's tallest observation wheel
Bluewaters is a man-made island just off JBR, connected by a pedestrian bridge, built around Ain Dubai — the world's tallest observation wheel at around 250 metres. It's quieter than JBR itself but shares the same beachfront access, with The Wharf's 130-plus shops and restaurants as its main retail hub.
Highlights
- Ain Dubai — a 250m observation wheel with a roughly 40-minute rotation
- The Wharf — 130+ shops, restaurants and cafés on the waterfront
- Madame Tussauds Dubai
- A pedestrian bridge connecting straight into JBR
Getting around
Reached on foot from JBR via a dedicated pedestrian bridge, or by road via Sheikh Zayed Road — no dedicated metro/tram stop on the island itself.
